Our Story

I'm Not Going to Claim I Know Everything About AI. Nobody Does. Here's What I Do Know.

Hi, I'm Todd Tyler.

I've been building and running businesses for a long time. And for most of that time, technology was something I used but didn't think deeply about — a tool in the toolkit, not a strategic priority.

That changed a few years ago when I started actually digging into what AI was capable of — not the theoretical future version everyone was describing, but the practical, available-right-now version that I could actually apply to a real business.

What I found surprised me. Not because AI was magic — it isn't — but because the gap between what was possible and what most businesses were actually doing was enormous. And I was one of the businesses doing very little of it.

So I started doing the work.

The Experience

What I've Actually Done With It

The first place I applied AI seriously was my own digital marketing agency, Renew Marketing.

We use AI extensively in our operations now — across content production, research, campaign management, data analysis, reporting, and client communication. It has meaningfully changed how we work. What used to take days takes hours. What used to require a junior team member doing repetitive mechanical work now gets handled in minutes. The people on my team spend more of their time on the work that actually requires human judgment — and less on the work that doesn't.

That experience taught me what it actually takes to integrate AI into a real operational environment. Not the highlight-reel version. The full version — including the things that didn't work, the workflows that needed rebuilding, and the team dynamics that needed attention when new tools changed how people did their jobs.

The second experience was more significant.

I've been involved in building an AI-first business from the ground up — participating in the actual architecture of an AI-powered platform for the senior living industry. This isn't a company that added AI features to an existing product. It was designed AI-first from day one.

The platform includes AI-powered virtual agents with full voice capabilities — handling inbound and outbound communication with prospects, answering questions about communities, scheduling tours, gathering qualification information, and depositing everything into a custom CRM. It includes AI-driven marketing operations — SEO, paid advertising, content creation, email marketing, social media — running as an integrated system rather than a collection of disconnected tools.

Building inside that company changed how I think about what AI can do for a business that's willing to design around it intentionally, rather than just bolting it on.

That combination of experiences — agency operator and AI-first company participant — is what I bring to the businesses I work with through AI with Renew.

Honest Assessment

A Few Things I Want to Be Clear About

I'm not a computer scientist.

I can't build you a custom AI model or write code. That's not what this is.

I'm not an AI guru.

The AI space is moving faster than anyone can fully track, and anyone claiming complete expertise right now is either overstating or operating in a very narrow slice of the field.

This isn't about technology for its own sake.

I've never been interested in tools for the sake of tools. I'm interested in what they enable — specifically, in what they free up. More time for the work that matters. More capacity to serve the people you built your business to serve. More leverage on the effort you're already putting in.

What I am is a business operator who has done the work of integrating AI into real business environments, has learned what works and what doesn't through direct experience, and can help you apply the same tools and thinking to your specific situation.

That's the honest version. And I think it's more useful to you than a credential I don't have.

The Real Reason

The Real Reason

I've spent a lot of my career working with business owners. In financial advising, in consulting, in digital marketing — always with people who had built something and were trying to protect it, grow it, or make it better.

What I've observed over and over is that the owners who are most frustrated — who feel most trapped by their own business — are the ones whose business depends on them for everything. They can't step back. They can't scale. They can't take a vacation without their phone buzzing with things that only they can resolve.

AI, applied intentionally, addresses that problem in a real way. Not completely. Not overnight. But meaningfully.

I also believe — and this may be more personal than strictly professional — that most business owners got into their work for reasons that go beyond profit. They care about the people they serve. They care about the community they operate in. They care about the team they've built and what those jobs mean to those families.

A business that runs with more leverage, more efficiency, and more capacity isn't just a better financial instrument. It's a more capable vehicle for doing what the owner built it to do.

That's why I care about this work. And I prefer to work with people that share that view.

If that resonates, I look forward to talking with you.

The Company

AI with Renew — and What It Connects To

AI with Renew sits within the broader Renew family of businesses.

Renew Marketing is our full-service digital marketing agency — 17+ years in business, working with established companies across more than a dozen industries. We were one of the earlier agencies to deeply integrate AI into our operations, and that hands-on experience is part of what informs the work we do here.

Our involvement in building an AI-first senior living platform — including AI virtual agents, custom CRM, and AI-driven marketing operations — gives us a ground-level perspective on what it takes to build AI into the architecture of a business, not just the surface layer.

AI with Renew is focused specifically on helping business owners navigate the practical work of AI integration — what to apply, how to implement it, and how to make it stick — in a way that creates real, durable leverage.

Not hype. Not theory. Just the honest, practical work.

Common Questions

Before You Book a Call

Who is AI with Renew right for?

Mid-market business owners — often Christian business owners — who know AI matters but want to adopt it wisely rather than reactively. If you've got a real operation, a team you care about, and a healthy skepticism of the hype, we'll get along. If you're looking for someone to rubber-stamp a flashy AI project or replace your people with bots, we're not the right fit.

How do faith and AI work together?

The same way faith and any business decision work together — as a guide for how you treat people and what you won't compromise on. AI is a tool and can be used for good or ill. The question is whether you deploy it in a way that's honest, respects your team, and serves your customers well. That's the lens we bring.

Do I need to be a Christian to work with you?

No — you don't have to be a Christian to work with us. But shared values matter. AI with Renew is built on a Christian moral framework — honesty, integrity, treating people with dignity, and doing work that lasts — and we reserve the right to work with clients who are aligned with us on that level. You don't have to share our faith, but if you hold a significantly different worldview about how people and businesses should be treated, we probably won't work well together. We're not trying to be a fit for everyone — and we'd rather be honest about that up front.

What makes you different from other AI consultants?

We're operators, not researchers or software vendors. Our work is grounded in three decades of running and advising real businesses, so we understand the friction, the constraints, and the change a mid-market company can actually absorb. Practical AI is new for everyone, including us, and we'll say so plainly. What we bring is the judgment to know where it actually helps — and the honesty to tell you where it doesn't.
